Ally Bank…Smart, But Too Slick.

I want a new bank system and fresh ideas and at first glance ALLY could be offering it.
It is impossible to have missed their web advertising campaign. They are relentless and are pitching a simple campaign.
Amazing that all they have to pitch is a 1.5 percentage point percentage rate and show freaked out old white people on their homepage and the transfers flow.
No penalties, 24 hour customer service, FDIC insured…and…a STORY. They have a STORY. This means they have a social media ‘expert’ teaching them about how to use the web.
I don’t want my bank to ‘Have a Story’. I want my bank to have executives I can see and I would like to know if they have ever BLOWN UP a bank. It’s 2010 and if you did not BLOW UP a bank, your picture should be on the front page of the website explaining that. You should be proud of it. In fact, I hope you came out of a different industry altogether because I have $250,000 in FDIC insurance so any yutz can run a bank.
Here is ALLY Bank’s story . Here is their mission:
Our mission
We’re a bank that values integrity as much as deposits. A bank that will always be open, accountable, and honest. Yes, honest. We won’t deal in half-truths, kindatruths, or truths only buried in fine print. That’s because we don’t have anything to hide. We’re always going to give it to you straight.
Put simply, we want to find the pain points of traditional banking and improve them. Consider our 24/7 customer service. We think it’s reasonable that a customer should be able to reach us and talk to a person anytime they want.
They use the words ‘No Sneaky Disclaimers’
Well done Ally.
I don’t trust you worth shit until you give me some real information.
