Apple Needs to be Loved…And who is Socially Underloved on Stocktwits

The market is struggling right now mainly because $AAPL is struggling. It is just that big and important.

There are many ideas being tossed around for the quick 10 percent drop but if 10 percent is the first step to a 30 percent drop and more, it will come down to poor Apple financial performance (relative to what everyone has come to expect) likely falling gross margins, lack of visibility and poor general market conditions.

This weekend’s Stocktwits 50 shows the creeping nervousness.

There are 20 plus companies with fewer than 50 followers from our uber focused community so there are likely some big opportunities that The mainstream investing community is a long way from discovering. The fifth column on the Stocktwits 50 breaks it all down for you.

With Apple’s size and the attention it receives though, we need some more Apple love for the markets to calm down and put growth money to work.
