The Grass League Is Going To Be Epic...Amateur Golf Will Explode With Grass Clippings Leading The Way

I’ve been covering the Grass Clippings story here for a while now because we are seed investors in the company and the story/product/business is fantastic.

There is nothing more exciting than organic growth but is there really anything organic? The Grass Clippings team has toiled at the game and business of golf for years but in the last year everything has come together in what feels like and is an organic explosion in attention, partnerships and business.

A few weeks ago they announced The Grass League with media partner Bleacher Report and Warner Media. The FIRST high stakes par 3 golf tournament under the lights will be April 17-20th and be televised!

There will be a $100,000 purse and the two team best ball low score wins. The best golfers (no handicap) will win. It will be thrilling for the city, the players, the fans and the team owners (eventually there will be 54 teams and Social Leverage is a team owner as well).

What is the Grass League?

The Grass League is the world's first high stakes par 3 golf league, uniquely embracing both professional and amateur events in team-based formats. Grass League events are set on lighted par 3 courses with the flagship host site located in the Phoenix market. The League welcomes qualifiers, encouraging broad participation and the discovery of emerging talents.
