The Grass League - High Stakes Par 3 Golf (From Grass Clippings)

The Grass League is live and the first ‘high stakes par 3 golf tournament’ to be held under the lights will take place on April 19 and 20. The Grass League was dreamed up by team Grass Clippings (and Social Leverage) last year and it is fun to see Jake, Jimmy, Pete and Connor put this all together. There is a lot of exciting news re major media partners, but the first to partner with The Grass League for the launch is The Bleacher Report. Here is the announcement from them on Twitter and Instagram…

A fun story of how this all came together using ‘Social Leverage’. On an Ireland buddies golf trip a few years back I met Dave Finnochio who is one of the founders of The Bleacher Report and previous CEO. Dave is awesome. Last year I pinged him about the Grass Clippings opportunity and he met with the team and really liked the vision. He joined the board and has been an active advisor. He made the introduction to Warner Media (they own Turner Broadcasting as well which acquired Bleacher Report) and here we are today.

Grass Clippings is enjoying some wonderful growth, big partnerships and crazy attention. All of it is organic (hustle) which is a magical thing.

As I wrote a couple days ago, TONIGHT Grass Clippings (Social Leverage Fund 4) is hosting The Good Good Desert Open presented by Golf Galaxy and broadcasted live on Peacock.

Let the games and partying and degeneracy begin…
