Back to The Basics and Fundamentals - The Grind.

Good morning everyone.

I am looking forward to the next few days as my pal Brad and I play in the Silverleaf member/member golf event. The weather will be perfect here in Phoenix.

I have had the extreme pleasure seeing superstars Steph Curry and Dev Booker each score more than 50 points in a game the last two weeks. The other night Dev scored his 51 by the end of the 3rd quarter.

They are at the top of their game.

In my day job as an investor, there are NO superstars. There are no doubt some investing legends, and some moments in time when hard working, smart people post incredible returns but they are few and far between and very hard to repeat over time.

Post 'Great Financial Crisis' an economic and technology cocktail brewed that made way too many think they were 'superstars' of business and investing.

It only took 9 months of interest raise increases in 2022 to end the myth.

There are no Dev Bookers and Steph Curry's in business or investing. Sadly, even the best of the best athletes like Steph Curry were drawn into the 'myth' of the great founder and investor as a spokesman for FTX and Sam.

Softbank, WeWork, FTX, Sam 'Bank Run' Bankman, CNBCq, Mr. Wonderful (Wonderputz), crossover funds, venture capitalists, SPAC's, crypto founders etc...were just in the right place at the right time working the refs, the clocks and the 'fans' and now reality has set back in. The performance enhancers that included zero percent interest rates and free platform growth are gone.

The great news is that in 2022 America, business and investing is open to just about everyone.

Back to the basics and the grind.

The reward is and should be the work itself.
