AI AI Ooof and Updates to My Degenerate Economy Index Continues to Crush The Indexes
Instacart Acquisition Rumors, Google Plummets, Eli Lily Is Crushing and Hyperliquid Soars
I am on my way back to Phoenix for the winter.
I have been on the road east the last two months (New York and Europe) which is just too long. Note to self for next fall.
I have a lot of travel this month as well (New York, Austin, Tel Aviv) before I get to settle down for a bit.
We are in the height of earnings season and it has been fasciating to be following the earnings and streams on Stocktwits.
Even if you are not a heavy markets watcher, people are getting incredible value following the @stocktwits and @stocktwitsearnings streams to get earnings previews and the fastest post earnings summaries. You can also set earnings calendar alerts for any of your tickers.
With our new MCP you can do these yourself anytime with a simple prompt. Here is one we just did for 700,000 plus people that follow $AMZN ( ▼ 2.81% ) …

Onward…
The AI trade has entered the ‘AI AI Ooof’ stage. Last week it was FaceMetaBook that ‘disappointed’ traders and last night Google. Elon Musk, the Anthropic S-1, Google missing earnings and Meta having a quarter of negative cash flow has everyone spooked for now.
Google is the largest position in my index at 10 percent. Even with Google being down on the year, the index is still up 17 percent and ahead of all the averages. This year owning Eli Lilly and Hyperliquid (up nearly 200 percent this year) has helped me outperform. You can view the index and positions here and dissect the history as you like.
Now to some changes in the portfolio/index. In August, I added Instacart to the portfolio (wrote about it here). This week there have been rumors of an acquisition so we sold the stock for a 20 percent gain.
I bought Eli Lilly this summer and explained the simple reasons why in this post. Today they crushed earnings once again and now the stock is up 20 percent since the summer buy. You can follow the stock here.
On my watchlist for the Degenerate Economy Index are Netflix, Meta and Cloudflare and adding to the Google position.
