Good afternoon…

I know…I am late…

Let’s get right to it.

An old good friend Michael Parekh (in the early web days he ran Goldman’s Internet Research) has started blogging and it is good stuff.

He calls the blog ‘AI: A Reset To Zero’. He is an AI optimist. You should be reading him because he is also understands the tech and is a realist.

Michael and I go way back and he is a thoughtful early and deep thinker on all things tech. During the crypto boom he was pretty quiet as it was not his cup of tea, which is cool. Now he’s back and that is all the signal I need to take AI even more seriously.

Another interesting thing happening in AI is acquisitions that are in the $1 billion range, a signal that interest at Fortune 500 level is increasing.

As Michael points out…AI is about building value over time.

That said, I liked this piece from The Verge titled ‘AI Is Killing The Old Web’. It is a click bait title but contains a lot of truthiness. Content will degrade at scale, but I do believe personally that from this degradation, even better content and more fresh talent will emerge.

The hype cycle is in play for sure, but AI is very much the next big thing.

Have a good day.
