Apple Goggles...I'll Bite.

Good morning everyone…

I am starting to try a little harder with my Midjourney prompts. Today my prompt was:

/imagine howard lindzon is 65 years old and is wearing Apple goggles, an Apple watch and airpods and holding an iPhone

First of all, the computers/network/ai/tubes think I will be alive in seven years. Hoohah! The four choices are all my favorites! One of the computers believes hair loss will be reversed.

I was tempted to go back and test ‘85’ years old instead of ‘65’, but I was scared Howard would show up in a coffin.

Anyhooo…

It was a gorgeous day in Manhattan yesterday. I criss crossed Central Park a couple of times while I made calls and walked with some friends just to make sure I took advantage of the perfect weather. I had dinner with Rachel as well.

I caught up with the Apple Vision Pro late last night. I did not think I would be interested until I saw the marketing video. It is worth a watch:

Technology is all about incrementalism and so Apple has taken what others before have done, added Apple design and software touches and now I have to pay attention.

Forget the form factor for a moment because, like ski goggles, you and I will not wear these everywhere. I know I would buy them to wear and zone out in airplanes, trains and ubers while I enjoy great content.

Remember Larry David putting on the ‘MAGA” hat to get out of a fight in ‘Curb’… the goggles will be my way of telling people I am taking some Howie time, trading stocks and making parlay bets.

The high price is a feature, not a bug.

Imagine LVMH, Burberry, Chanel, Hermes battling for partnerships with special shopping apps and headbands for the goggles. I imagine A24 will make a goggles ‘Euphoria’.

Apple is coming for the eyes. They have your ears, your wrist and your wallet. I imagine they could go for my ‘jewels’ next if they bought Manscaped.
