Categories Of 1 ...It Is Far Easier To Be The ONLY

Happy Friday

I have not been on my game this week. My best pal Rob called me out on it and I could only reply with LOL.

I took a few days off and here I am still not really in the writing mood.

I did finally get set back in my office as our furniture comes out of storage with the floors and kitchen in the Coronado house nearly complete…

Last night I did a sunset beach run to change things up and the light was fantastic…

Time is on my mind way too often these days as summer speeds along and I approach my 58th birthday next month.

I want to focus on being creative and more efficient use of my time for the next 20 years but I don’t think you can make that a focus without being less creative and wasting time.

I read this ‘Categories Of 1’ post from Jack Raines this week and it really struck a chord with how I think about my creative time. The gist:

"The key to winning your game, whatever it is, is to either be the first or be the only, and it’s far easier to be the only."

I am a trend follower so I am not obsessed with being the first or the best.

Much of the time though I forget that I am ‘the only’ and I should continue staying true to that.
