CBS Buys Cnet for a Bazillion...AND...

I don’t read CNet and nobody tells lowly Lindzon about CBS dealflow, so I did not see this one coming.

Now that it’s done, put aside your snarky – they overpaid, Cnet is dead, Blogging killed Cnet comments for just a moment.

Good things can happen. The whole new video production team from Wallstrip can go to work inside the old machine at Cnet and crank out some shows and inherit some traffic. Maybe they install Disqus across the network of Cnet to get bigger discussions going.

This one will take some time, but as dead as Cnet really was to new media, maybe it can be revitalized and shocked back to life.
