Some Cycling Products I like- Q36.5 and QUOC
Good morning…
I was at the Suns game last night and it was awful. Congrats to the Denver Nuggets who made it look easy.
Next week I am off to Miami for work and also New York to help Max get settled for the summer in Long Island.
Onward…
One of the fun things about our investment in DSTNC.com is meeting the people behind the brands of some of the companies we carry in the marketplace and also testing new products and brands.
On the shoe side, Sharona and Nave have been raving about the QUOC quality and design. They are a British company. I ordered and have been using the QUOC 'gran tourer’ gravel shoe. It’s excellent.
I have also been loving their very simple and comfortable new post ride sandal the Lala Slide. I think they will be great for Coronado daily use.
On the clothing and accessory side, I have started wearing Q36.5 products and they are so good. I like the way the company describes themselves - ‘An extreme vision of the future of cycling clothing.’
The prices are not for the feint of heart. They do not care.
The company was founded in 2013 and they say it is a vehicle for continuos and unrestrained experimentation into what the cycling clothing of the future could feel like.
I really appreciate the difference in how the products/materials fit and feel.
I always get started with some simple accessories when trying a new brand. It will not break the bank and they are just as important as the rest of the clothing. The Q36.5 socks, gloves and base layers are incedible,
As I have been saying for a few years on the blog, cycling fashion is going to be overhauled because of the growth in cycling via gravel and e-bikes. Fashion brands are going to explode in popularity as better fabrics, new forms and styles for on bike gear and the off bike category explodes. People will wear the brands they like on bike…off bike. Specialized started this and Rapha took it to the next level. With the Rapha purchase by The Walton brothers (avid cyclists and yes ‘the’ Walmart family), it is fun to be experimenting with the help of the DSTNC.com marketplace and the global curation by Sharona and Nave.
