Golf like it was meant to be played...

This is what it looked like today as I played. As I walked up 18 though the sun shone again. It has been a treat to spend 4 days up here at Bandon Dunes, but I can’t wait to get back to work. Yesterday I walked 36 holes and my hooves are raw.

I have won about $700 so far with the crazy betting and fired a 76 at Pacific Dunes. Although not my best score by far, likely the most satisfying round of my life played with good friend Dr. Al and a great caddie Dave who brought a great set of eyes and all the right club selections. Of course, Lanny stole him today when he saw the results, but he’s Lanny!

Looking forward to next year where I will be dragging some more friends along. First week in October and room for 12 more players. It is booked – first come first serve.

UPDATE – YES – it is after the high holidays in 2007 and October is the best weather month for golf at Bandon.
