Here Comes Google !?!?

It's all 'ball bearings' and TPU's

Good morning…

Before I get started…

My ‘great’ niece Molly is visiting Coronado this week (with her parents Amanda and Billy and my sister Fern) and we are bonding…

Onward…

I thought I was watching the 18 inning Blue Jays/Dodgers World Series game ‘LIVE’ on YouTube ( $GOOG ( ▲ 0.1% ) ) TV, until my son Max told me that Freeman hit a home run two seconds before YouTube ‘LIVE’ played it for me because of his Tik Tok algo.

I really do live in a ‘post real-time world’.

It was a bummer of an ending for this Blue Jays fan. This morning, Max and my nephew- in-law Billy are road tripping up to Dodger Stadium to meet my friends Brian Norgard and his son as well as Jim Payne to go to game 4 and watch Ohtani pitch (and hit). I promised the guys and Molly that if I catch a foul ball or homerun off an Ohtani pitched or hit ball, I will run on the field and streak wearing only my Stocktwits hoodie. I’m debating right now whether I Manscape.

Speaking of Google, they report earnings tomorrow.

Here is what the Stocktwits community thinks will happen (obviously predictions and games coming soon to Stocktwits but for now sponsored by Polymarket):

You can drop your opinion in as well here on the Google ticker page here. I think they ‘beat’, but I have no real edge on what will happen to the stock price even if they beat. This is one of the main reasons I love prediction markets as I can bet on just the actual earnings event, not the stock price movement.

The stock has had a fast and steep 30 plus percent run in the last 90 days.

Google is about to release Gemini 3 and my smart friends tell me it is expected to be better than the de facto leader in AI coding - Claude from Anthropic. That means that the top two AI coding products by far will have both been trained using TPUs (Google’s chip), not GPU’s (Nvidia).

On top of the data they own from Android, YouTube, Gmail, Maps etc…I think the world is realizing that Google may have an edge 🙂 .

This one chart really shows the relative strength that Google is starting to display versus the rest of the Nasdaq 100:

As they say in the ‘degenerate economy’…place your bets!
