Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) on Wallstrip...Long Overdue

Some racy stuff on the Wallstrip streets today . Enjoy

Defense is stupid in the stock market. There I said it.

If you are busy playing defense, you have too much time and watch the markets way too closely.

You should own the best stocks and/or have cash. Buying stocks because they will do ‘less bad’ is assanine.

That said, every rule is meant to be broken.

Booze (Sam Adams, Coors/Molson’s and Fortune Brands), Tobacco (Altria – one of my Wallstrip faves ) and Sex are great defense sectors and one drug and consumer goods company that is likely worth breaking the defense rule is Johnson & Johnson (Procter and Gamble – Wallstripped – being the other)

Because they are defensive in nature, I see no reason to chase it. If these stocks fall 20-25 percent, you should always be willing to add this group of defensive gems with Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) at the top of the heap.

I don’t look at product labels since I assume they are all full of lies and misinformation at best.

Today on Wallstrip, Lindsay says that Johnson & Johnson makes Splenda (I did not know that!). I am way bullish on Splenda and in fact just bullish on this great consumer brand company. Kudos to you that have held it all these years. It is going higher. I will follow it and buy some stock for my grandkids on the next 10 percent drop.
