Koyfin Triples Down On Democratizing Investment Research – Adds Global Equities, My Dashboards Widgets, Drag & Drop, and More!
Ever since selling Wallstrip in 2006, I have tried to invest in a next generation stocks and markets companies that would democratize investing and investment research. In 2009, before Social Leverage started its first formal fund, Tom and I invested in YCharts. YCharts (founded in Chicago by Shawn Carpenter and led through acquisition by CEO Sean Brown) built a fantastic company that was acquired a few months back. It was a great outcome for investors.
A couple years back I invested in Koyfin which was for me even more useful than YCharts and has become my investing and research dashboard.
Over the last year the team has been busy rebuilding their product to include global equities. Last week they launched.
Let me start by saying that it remains FREE.
They now cover over 110,000 stocks across 209 markets.
With this update, you get comprehensive data on world financial markets, including end-of-day prices, financials, margins, consensus estimates, and valuation ratios for all global equities. You can change currencies in financial statements and graph it against other stocks, indices, or economic series to discover trends and relationships.
You can read more about the updates here.
My two favorite dashboards can’t be copied and shared YET, but Rob promises me that is coming in January.
My front page markets dashboard looks like this:
The big change is the ability to customize the right widget to allow you to toggle between your favorite watchlists, top news and market movers.
My new Master Dashboard looks like this:
I highly recommend you take the time to set up a dashboard or two and fill it with your favorite watchlists and data sets.
The user love for Koyfin is always off the charts. Here are a few quotes from users just yesterday:
Have a great day everyone.
