From Moviefone to Plant Based Venture Capital – Adam Slutsky Joins Me On ‘Panic With Friends’

Happy Mother’s day to all the great moms who read this blog. I love moms!

Onwards…

Adam Slutsky joined me on ‘Panic With Friends‘ this week to talk about his life as an entrepreneur and now venture capitalist. He has some incredible stories as the co-founder of Moviefone in the 1980’s (pre-internet). There was an eventual bidding war in 1999 and you can listen to hear how that ended. Of course my favorite story is how Seinfeld incorporated Moviefone into an episode:

Today, Adam has a venture fund called Gather and he invests in the ‘plant based’ food industry. He also founded ‘The Beet‘ which is a guide to plant based living. Adam was early to this new trend because of his own health issues 15 years ago.

I tried to throw Adam off with my 45 day bacon diet asking ‘if I rub my bacon in the grass before cooking it does that make it more healthy’…unfortunately it is a no. I learned so much about this accelerating trend.

You can listen here on Apple or Spotify.

I hope you enjoy.
