My 60th Year - Some Predictions...The Epic Battle of Living And Degeneracy
The degenerate economy 'club' will replace the sportsbook
Good morning…
Before I get started…when I landed in Vegas this weekend for my birthday bash, my friend Joe Fahmy picked me up because he wanted to do a podcast at his studio and talk about trends that I have ridden and trends I see. Joe is one of my fave people with a huge heart and big brain that loves markets and life. Joe got me to delve much deeper than usual with some investing stories, predictions and life in general. I also unveiled my new investment returns disclaimer is : ’it’s been a bull market since I was born’ ….
Onward…
I am 60 today and am only answering to my prostate today.
I got some fantastic gifts from friends delivered the past week, but my fave and most unique is from my pal Jack Newhouse - my own 1 of 1 ‘Howie Town - Degenerate Economy’ putter from Swag Golf. I plan to use it Billy Baroo style when the stakes are high.
my buddy Jack got me the best birthday gift - we are both @swaggolfco investors and customers

It has been a whirlwind birthday week as my friends including Max and some of his friends (my friends) got together in Las Vegas. Some new pictures have surfaced that I shared which got some laughs and went viral (at least for me)…
If you have to wear reading glasses clubbing...you probably should not go clubbing

Me and max at 2 am…

The rest of my life will be a battle to both live life well and stay young (at least in spirit). The degenerate economy is that spirit. I talked at length about it with Joe in the podcast/video above.
One of the funniest moments of the weekend was Saturday morning. At 7 AM I went to the gym and my a bunch of my friends in their 40’s and 50’s were already lifting and stretching. No twenty year olds spotted.
At 8 am I went over to Max’s room which he was sharing with Ethan and all his buddies were still there from the night before. I asked if they wanted to get breakfast and that only created winces of horror and pain. Max just sipped on a beer and Ethan was still basking in his clothes from the night before. They are living but not really thinking about being 60, let alone 40.
Where ages melted away was the fantastic sportsbook at the Fountainbleau. Every guy speaks the same language at a sportsbook and you can feel the merging of media, entertainment, speculation, culture, finance, politics, predictions and betting.
If I owned a casino I would just change the name from ‘sportsbook’ to ‘degenerate economy club’ and pipe in prediction markets, Bloomberg, Stocktwits ‘trending’ to go along with the sports.
One look at my own view and my pal Mike and you can see the ‘degenerate economy club’ right around the corner…

Have a good one…
PS - The Charlie Sheen documentary on Netflix is quite the melding of ‘living and degeneracy’. Not sure how he is still alive to tell the amazing and horrific stories.
