National CineMedia (NCMI) on Wallstrip

This is a business that is just too easy. What the hell took so long?

Today on Wallstrip, we go back much earlier in the public market food chain with National CineMedia (NCMI) . REMEMBER, ALL GREAT STOCKS START AS IPO’S (So do all round trippers, but this is a positive blog)

I was in a meeting a few weeks back with a big hedge fund manager in New York who was discussing their early stage investment in this National Cinemedia (NCMI). We were not in the meeting for that purpose, but I knew this had to be a winning stock.

I pulled up the stock on my crackleberry and sure enough, recent IPO and all-time high.

One look at the Google Finance page tells me everything I need to know. I like best that there is no related public play. They are the leader and the big risk would be the same as their big advantage…A FEW LARGE CUSTOMERS.

I am tempted to add this position. If the content was better (play Wallstrip episodes as an example), I would be all over this. The fact that such horrible content is acceptable, is proof how early this play is.
