From Netflix to Axon...Cameras And The Cloud Offer Endless Opportunities

Last night I watched the Simone Biles documentary on Netflix.

I must live under a rock because I had NEVER heard of Simon Biles.

The documentary was excellent. What an incredible, athlete, person, and career.

The opportunity for Netflix in this category of sports documentaries is massive.

There are thousands if not tens of thousands of incredible stories of incredible entrepreneurs, athletes, companies/products that will be told in the next 10 years because of Netflix and streaming.

The era of the smartphone and the cloud allows so much footage to be captured that can be stitched together.

It is not just Netflix and the streamers that benefit from smartphones, cameras and the cloud.

Yesterday I was talking about $AXON as a long time portfolio company.

Here is a list of their products:

The Taser got the company started but it is the private cloud business and the body camera business that have exploded the company and stock.

I am not sure of all the legal issues to be hashed out, but there are thousands of crime documentaries that will be stitched together over the years from the body camera footage held by Axon. Law and Order and CSI 2.0.

Even if not for public consumption the private cloud and body camera category for Axon will help police get better at their jobs which is a huge positive for society.
