New From Stocktwits - Live Earnings Calls With Unique Chat and Sentiment

I do NOT post twice a day on this newsletter as a habit but today I am making an exception today.

When I stepped back in as CEO of Stocktwits in March of this year I had two big initiatives for the company.

The first was to triple down our focus on public company earnings. Stocktwits has always been the place for people that love stocks and markets (now crypto too) and love talking about them all day long. As one of these people I also know there are FOUR three week periods a year where people that live in the markets pay extra attention…and so we are excited to be offering this live earnings call service with our unique real time Stocktwits twist.

Public company Investor Relations departments and CEO’s love this new feature set too so it’s a great marketplace to be at the center of. Way back in 2010, I spent so much time working on this problem with little success. I was too far ahead of the curve for our size and where the technology and API’s had progressed.

Today, Stocktwits is formally launching live earnings calls with our unique chat and sentiment. We wanted to launch today because both $TSLA and $GOOG report and have their calls. You can check in easily as always when you search the ticker $TSLA.

Stocktwits already has an excellent earnings calendar so you can track when your companies are reporting.

When you land on Stocktwits (web or app) durning earnings season starting today you will get a view of all the calls that are live and upcoming.

There are 10-20 earnings reports I try not to miss each quarter and now it is so easy for me to listen. Last week was Netflix with Ted Sarandos and today Spotify with Daniel Ek. I don’t listen to get trading insights, I listen to learn how the masters talk about their business. Others for me are Tesla, Google, Apple, Visa, Goldman, Nvidia and Microsoft.

Obviously what comes next for Stocktwits as part of our tripling down on earnings is tripling down on crypto…so stay tuned as we already cover thousands of chains and tokens.

The second big initiative I have focused the team on is called ‘Stocktwits Everywhere’ which is mostly stealth but as part of the launch our daily active users will notice we are publishing original ticker based news. Unlike every other ‘newswire’ Stocktwits is wrapping our own unique sentiment and actual messages from the ticker streams to create the first ‘social sentiment newswire’ (lot’s more on this as it ramps up and gets seen around the financial web and brokerages).
