Are There Any NFT Etiquette Rules?
My friend Yoni bought/sent me an NFT.
It is a ‘Degenerative ApeWife, #3007 (of 10,0000) that has a floor price of about $3,000 on OpenSea right now. It was about $5,000 when he sent/gifted it to me. Thank you Yoni!
Here it is:
I opened a Rainbow wallet so he could send it to me and deposited $500 of Ethereum to fart around myself. Here is my account page now (thank you Justin for the howardlindzon.eth address):
The year 2021 has made me feel old and dumb and just one look at the ‘discovery’ page of the Rainbow wallet is a huge reminder of why…
I have no room in my head right now for this new language of tickers and tokens and NFT’s, but I can sure see why people are excited and having fun.
Now that I have an expensive NFT (meaning that no way would I spend $5,000 on one myself), I have some questions:
It is art?
Is it a gift that I can regift or sell for cash to buy bike gear and ALO stuff ?
If I sell it for cash, do I have to tell Yoni?
These are all questions I was hoping Larry David would answer on Curb Your Enthusiasm, but he ignored the topic all season.
Let me know your thoughts…
