Overheard on StockTwits: What Will the $FED Do?

Each day we dig into the StockTwits stream and pull out the morning goodness. Here’s what we found today:

It appears that Ben Bernanke won Time magazine’s “Person of the Year”. The StockTwits stream was hilarious as usual. I especially like @jfahmy’s tweet.

$GS’s Abby Joseph Cohen was on CNBC this morning and, like clockwork, made a very bullish call, like she did in 2008! At least we hold her accountable here on StockTwits:

Some economic data hit the tape today. Housing Starts and CPI both were in line, but Oil Inventory numbers were bullish. Lots of chatter on $USO and $OIH.

This morning it came out that $INTC was accused of illegal monopoly practices by the FTC. $INTC hurt but $AMD soared. Similar injunction against $MSFT in Europe. I agree with @sgoldstein12, $GOOG is probably next.

$ADBE came out with really solid earnings last night and NOW (and over 100% returns later) the sell-side upgrades them:

Gourmet Marijuana Restaurants popping up in Denver. I think this could be the start of a major trend. As @stevenplace once said, out of this will come the legalization of the 3 P’s: “Pot, Prostitution, and Porn”

$C is tanking into its secondary pricing. I think they may be the stars of TARP 2:
