Good day everyone.

My routine is still in flux.

I am sharing our home with construction crew so it has been hard to concentrate during the day.

I am going with a fun story today.

My good friend and mentor Roger Ehrenberg is very focused on the sports and entertainment industry since he moved away with the day to day of the incredible venture firm he built. He now invests with his two sons Ethan and Andrew who I have known since they were kids. Ethan worked with us at Social Leverage one summer while in college.

Today, Roger announced their lead in Betr - the world’s first microbetting app. It fits right into my degenerate economy thesis which Roger calls (non sexily) the ‘Entertainment-ification of Sports’. For people that hate the word ‘degenerate’ you could just call this trend ‘Speculation is Entertainment’ which I called the new ‘Netflix and Chill’ back in 2021. You can read Roger’s thoughts in a post he wrote here.

I will get the three Ehrenberg’s on a ‘Panic’ podcast after the summer.

Even if you do not gamble (I do not), chances are you will. I am inching closer myself and am slowly learning the language of it all.

Long live the degenerate economy and speculation as entertainment.
