Why do shareholders own Airlines?
This morning I woke to more awful terrorist threat news and to the breathless CNBC hosts yakking about the declines coming in Airline Stocks.
Just yesterday I wrote that you should just never look at an Airline Stock – yet someone owns them. WHY?
Let’s look at it another way. What is the best news you could EVER wake up to that would make you want to own an airline stock?
1. Oil drops to zero?2. A survey shows that 100 percent of bags arrived on the proper flight?3. Airplanes are built from nerflike material and cost drops to $1,000 per plane.
There is just no environment that is conducive to owning them. There is always an exception to the rules, but those are “needle in haystack” situations.
Move on.
