The Start-Up Buzz Is Alive at My Alma Mater Arizona State University

Good morning...

On Monday, I had ASU (Arizona State) students over at the Social Leverage office to talk startups. Our ASU student intern for the semester Ethan Berk coordinated it.

We opened a small Phoenix office during Covid so we could huddle as a team and I could have a podcast studio. It feels good and right to use it now for what we plan to be monthly student events.

First, one of our companies - Bosslife - presented their product to get feedback and then Easton Dana a student and founder of Canned Goods Clothing presented his startup and plan. Here is Easton presenting:

Twenty plus students attended and they were very engaged. A couple of the students wore a suit which I had fun with. The questions were all on point and the feedback was excellent. For Bosslife there was a great discussion about the design and imagery and for Canned Goods we have a lively discussion about the go to market focus.

Web 2.0 is over (according to me) and good riddance to the hackathons and promises of 'open' platforms, but the thrill and passion kids have for startups has not disappeared.

I am the one with the most to learn right now, so it is a win win for everyone.

Have a great day.
