Stocktwits Everywhere As The Web Disappears, Bloomberg Terminals for Everyone and The Trump Stock Market Newsletter
Happy Sunday.
I have been with the Stocktwits leadership team all week in New York was energizing. We had team members visiting from Honduras, India, Columbia and New Jersey!
This week we launch some big updates to the product.
Coming soon after is a Stocktwits MCP (testing it internally now) and some truly unique creator first products for the investors and traders that share everyday on Stocktwits. Here is a crash course in MCP’s for financial data.
When I retuned as CEO two years back, I was very focused on a plan I called ‘Stocktwits Everywhere’.
The last six months have been two lifetimes worth of change on the internet which are speeding up my ‘Stocktwits Everywhere’ vision and plan. Claude Code, compute and AI are tailwinds for companies and products like Stocktwits because we are not solely reliant on Google or the social media silo’s and algorithms for growth. The web of old is closing up just as Stocktwits opens up. We have our own unique flywheels. One example is our ‘cashtag’ API integration with Beehiiv. We also have partnered with Alpaca to deliver our sentiment and soon news globally to their brokerage customers.
Last year we launched a news product with a unique flavor. The articles we write (over 100 per day) include Stocktwits unique sentiment mentions and links as well as links to creators on the platform. Not only does Google trust our unique news articles and approach (great SEO), both Yahoo Finance and Trading View are now pulling the articles to their ticker pages. Here are two example links from Yahoo and TradingView. In the next six months we will be announcing many more of these types of distribution deals.
At Stocktwits, everyone is using Claude Code to help them do their job, build and experiment. On the editorial side, Ashish created a Claude Code dashboard (a teaser taste below) to help the pick the most interesting stocks and markets to cover based on the activity on Stocktwits.

When Ashish shared it with the team, it was immediately obvious the dashboard could be a product that tens of thousands of investors and traders would pay for to get a feel for what the millions of people were doing on Stocktwits. Our MCP will be another way to create premium products.
We are not alone here. Robinhood is doing something similar in the form of a new newsletter titled ‘The Entry Point’. Our portfolio companies Fiscal.AI and Alpaca.markets have also built MCP’s for their unique data. As Oracle’s Larry Ellison says, in a world awash in AI slurping the same data, companies with unique data sets like Stocktwits, Fiscal, Alpaca and Robinhood become more unique and valuable.
Next up…
I am seeing many new attacks/takes/fundraises by founders building a Bloomberg like terminal. In the era of AI, it has never been more possible to ‘boil the ocean’. I understand the temptation. Bloomberg is one of the greatest financial companies (actually any company) of all time. I hope they all work and bring the price of a terminal to FREE. My worry for these startups is ‘just because you can boil the ocean…should you?’ I am rooting for them though because leveling the playing field for retail investors is good for the growth of investing and of course our Social Leverage portfolio.
Social Leverage (our funds) is an investor in two unique financial research and data companies Koyfin.com and Fiscal.ai. Years back we were the seed investors in Ycharts.com which is very successful and been acquired.
Finally…
Back in 2007 when we created the cashtag for Stocktwits which Twitter now has co-opted, I assumed the President would move markets by mentioning a stock or the market. In 2025 and 2026, this is happening almost daily.
Trump wants to Make America Great by bringing back the 1990’s internet bubble, shouting out $DELL ( ▲ 32.76% ) , $INTC ( ▼ 5.14% ) and $IBM ( ▲ 12.71% ) in the last year.
I think it’s gross. There is NO amount of money and inider dealing too much for this White House and Trump family.
Everything Trump whines about is a projection.
I believe this will eventually pass.
In the meantime, Trump, with the help of awful Twitter execution, did something brilliant. He created a layer on top/adjacent of/toTwitter with Truth Social that put him in the ultimate real time position. That layer has been a money printer for Trump, his family and insiders. Trump ‘truths’ and everyone on Twitter and the rest of the media and social world (including Stocktwits which in real time pulls his ‘truths’) chases. While Trump profits, his company Truth Social is a financial dumpster fire of course. His hack only works for him. Nobody cares what happens on Truth Social outside of Trump’s ‘truths’. I can’t imagine it lasting much beyond his rule of the White House.
Trump will eventually leave and a new less greedy and normal investing environment will return to normalcy.
While the algorithms will remain to rule over Instagram, Tik Tok and Twitter to decide what messages appear to who and when…we are working at Stocktwits to create a real-time financial layer and plumbing to help millions of investors share and connect in real-time all the time.
Have a great rest of your Sunday.
