TexasFornia Here We Come...Blue Crushes Orange and The Prediction Markets Were The Big Winners (for the moment)

The prediction markets did a good job of keeping me away from the news yesterday. This is what I wrote here Sunday…

Blue trounced Orange and when you mix the two colors together you get a brown/grey which describes Trump’s skin color and mood right now.

This morning I only need to check the trending tickers on Stocktwits to see how people are reacting to the election results…

SpaceX, Tesla, Palantir, Datacenter related stocks and Trump’s fraud of a stock are deep red while the markets, especially the Dow, are rallying.

Some headquarters might be changing now that Texas is Bluer then California.

I am surprised that the ‘Trump’ stocks are down so much, but the markets obviously did not price in the prediction markets which were screaming sweep. The prediction markets were the big winners of this election - they did their job - but now they will be dealing with the ‘blue wave’ which will be at best expensive.

The stocks that have been crushed by tariffs, restaurants and retailers, should get a bounce.

I doubt inflation slows and that interest rates magically now drop.

Sadly, I think the rhetoric gets worse.

I hope the Democrats can use some common sense with their new power to get some ethics reset in Washington and a reset of the tariffs with some sense of clarity.
