The Birth Of Software ...Claude Code in Action With Our New Social Leverage Website

A few weeks back while everyone was screaming about the death of software (mainly because their stocks were crashing), I explained my view that it was the birth of software.

I saw this data and chart yesterday which puts the ‘death of software’ argument to rest…

What died re software was the loose title ‘software engineer’. Today, we are all software engineers. My partner Gary agrees. He has founded and built a few very large successful software companies himself. He is a product guy at heart and has been excited to build using Claude Code like millions of others. A few weeks back he decided to update the Social Leverage website which was built on Squarespace.

I am amazed how easy Gary made it sound considering how new the Claude Code launch is.

While it is easy for a dummy like me to launch a newsletter or build an AI powered website using our portfolio company beehiiv, Gary decided to just build it directly on Claude code and pull in api’s that we use including beehiiv.

AI is freaking people out. It freaks me out at some level because I don’t trust the bad guys with all the extra new power. That is why I watch silly stuff each night on YouTube before bed…serenity now!

Technology has freaked people out forever. Today, we are close to technology having a mind of its own so it makes sense that the freakout might be bigger than ever.
