The Degenerate Economy Waits For Nobody, With Friends Like Elon Musk Who Needs Enemies and We Are All Tony Montana

I can’t sleep.

That’s normal, but combined with the jet lag and intense cycling in the heat, my system is borked.

I have a lot to share about this intense and wonderful week cycling with the ‘Bartali - Youth in Movement’ team and network of students, donors and supporters, but not today. I will this weekend.

I will share a few pictures though of me getting broken by 60 miles in the Tuscan heat and hills today…

The before..

The after…in Cortana…which is spectacular…

Onward…

The degenerate economy knows no bounds, surrounds us all and is waiting for nobody.

Where to begin just this week…

Kalshi - ‘a prediction market for trading the future’ is not just spending on NBA Finals commercials, they are unhinged on purpose and using AI.

Kalashi and Polymarket are two of the main reasons I hold $CME ( ▲ 1.33% )  $CBOE ( ▲ 0.81% ) and $ICE ( ▲ 1.12% ) in my ‘degenerate economy portfolio’ (view it here). While the Venture Capitalists blow their brains out funding this modern degeneracy, the incumbent degeneracy brokers harvest cash and profits.

Next…

I was not a believer in the idea of self driving cars during my lifetime, so let me predict with conviction it seems obvious (post LA madness) that they will soon be equipped with $axon Tasers attached to machine gun turretts. We are all Tony Montana.

Finally…

Most of us have heard the term ‘with friends like this who needs enemies’, but Elon and Donald have taken it to new levels.

The Elon 3 am Twitter ‘apology’ is on point for the level of humanity he and his bestie Trump have in their souls…

Elon has come a long way since just February…

No wonder Tesla’s and Waymo’s are getting burned. The humanity is gone and Elon only pours gas on his batteries.

His ‘former’ friend, at this point he is only surrounded by bootlicking podcasters and pilot fish (as is Trump), Sam Harris, summed the ‘apology’ up well:

However sincere Musk’s expression of regret might be here—and one can’t doubt that he wishes he had spent less time on X last week—his words make no contact with the ethical terrain he has wandered on.

If you recall, Musk claimed, among other things, that President Trump is implicated in the sex crimes of Jeffrey Epstein. As this was the gravest of all the accusations Musk made, one suspects it is among those he now feels “went too far.”

Therefore, one of two things must be true:

1. Either Musk is now seeking slither back into an amicable relationship with a man he knows to be guilty of participating in (or enabling) the rape of children….

2. … or he was willing to lie about the President being culpable for such terrible crimes, in an attempt to destroy his reputation.

Musk’s post has been viewed over 60 million times and has received over 600,000 “likes.” Predictably, many fans of the President are now welcoming him back into the fold, claiming that his public expression of regret shows greatness of character.

But then we can only wonder: Which of the above interpretations of Musk’s character do they believe to be true?

Do the opposite of these people is what we should be doing as humans right now, but with your money, the trend is your friend.

Serenity now.

PS - these made me laugh on the subject of the asshats Trump/Elon breakup
