The Howard Lindzon Show: The Degenerate Economy Has Turned Against Robinhood and Is The Market Too Rigged?
Plus a hype check for the 2026 Cashtag Awards

Good morning…
I had a brutal accident a few days back (a finger was severely damaged) and just getting back to a keyboard so the weekly show here is a little late. It was taped pre accident. I was lucky to have a great hand surgeon on emergency duty. I appreciate all the well wishes.
Onward…
This weeks show starts with a hype check: the Cashtag Awards are back May 4th at the New York Stock Exchange. Last year overflowed and this year there’s room for 500 people, Polymarket is the title sponsor, and Nathan McIntosh is bringing the comedy (plus special investing guests and plenty of side chatter).
Then we get into the Degenerate Stock of the Week: Clear ($YOU ( ▼ 10.69% ) ). With TSA issues creating massive airport lines, Clear is catching a wave of “I can’t go back” adoption. I added the stock to my degenerate economy index a few months back and for those that followed along…’booyah’. Agian, I share all my ideas and budys and sells on Stocktwits and it is easy to follow along if you want.
From there, we went bigger-picture: young traders discovering “the market is rigged,” the idea that “someone always knows,” and why you don’t want to live at the “line of scrimmage” reacting to every real-time headline. The Truth Social layer adds a new twist to information flow, so I added the ability to follow his posts in real time on Stocktwits.
Finally, the Robinhood ( $HOOD ( ▼ 5.66% ) )backlashthe stock is down as the company continues to lean hard into prediction markets and betting, so a small portion of loud revolters has emerged. Betting and investing are not the same and the mob is letting the company now as the stock is the worst performing this year in the S&P.
