The Real Time 2.0 Economy and Exponential Everything Continued - From Prediction Markets To Info Finance...Sunday Reads and Listens

Good Sunday morning…

It is an exciting time to be working in the real time 2.0 economy and exponential everything era, a real time economy boosted by AI and Blockchains, an economy that is accelerating the degenerate economy and the creator economy.

I will dive into this a little more this week and the months ahead. I am thinking about it in real time because it is happening in real-time. Markets are getting repriced in rapid fashion right now and of course the election has forced people to take a look at the trends that will accelerate and those that will end.

Note to self…the ‘creator, degenerate and real time 2.0 economy’ has been a boon for GoDaddy who sells domains and is a public company ($GDDY).

Next up…

I know a thing or two about good weather but the last two week of Phoenix weather have been fantastic (sunny and 72 degrees). The week ahead looks just as good.

Yesterday I was at Silverleaf where I am a member and it was just glorious to sit outside, hit a few golf balls at the range and enjoy a perfectly made grilled chicken and shrimp burrito.

There were a lot of famous athletes on the range as well. Tony Finau and Larry Fitzgerald were two of them.

I introduced myself to Larry who was sitting with some friends he had just golfed with. We have been on a few Zooms and I am friends with Larry’s partner Kelvin Beachum and a personal LP in their new fund ‘Trenches’. Larry has a great sense of humor so we got into it right away. I went off to hit a few shots before I headed to the first tee and though I had just met him, Larry was trash talking my swing and ball contact. That made my day.

Onward…

I know a few things about stocks and markets, but still do not know much about crypto.

I have been trying and trying and trying to care and by that I mean sharing what I am curious about here over the years, but I still don’t care much or have much of a clue other than people love their crypto.

The way my brain reads and see things, every crypto conversation is fodder for comedy. Just yesterday, I got a serious email from a serious person that read:

‘We received a large allocation of the HAWK-TUAH tokens for the official token launch this week’

This is a line you discuss in a Saturday Night Live writers room, not in my email. But, this is my life today so my response was:

‘What is the ticker?’

Of course now Stocktwits has a ticker for the token!

I think it is obvious that the only rules of crypto right now (again) is NO RULES.

This is another example of Real Time 2.0 which I coined and described last week. Twitter invented real-time, but YouTube, Netflix, and Spotify will reap most of the profits from real time 2.0. It is exciting for me to be leading Stocktwits as real Time 2.0 proliferates and monetization is more abundant. Stocktwits intends to be right in the mix. As I mentioned last week, take a look at Reddit’s stock price if you do not believe me. It now trades at 27x sales as the market is betting on Reddit also being a big winner of Real Time 2.0.

This weekend we ran a Stocktwits poll asking about a new era of crypto and 58 percent of the 12,000 votes so far are feeling the ‘mass adoption’ of it.

With crypto comes a 24/7/365 need for a new markets coverage that is omnimedia all the time.
