Tracking The Top 100 Private Companies With Norgard X ...Connecting Public and Private Markets is Important And More Seamless Every Day

Happy Fed Rate Hike Day!!

I turn 61 years old tomorrow. I am so grateful and lucky and happy.

I will be on Coronado with Ellen tomorrow hanging with our puppy Lindzee as well. Rachel is doing great in NYC and Max is in South Carolina. Max moved across the country last month to work at Tree Farm an incredible private golf course. My birthday shwag (they have the best merchandise and logo says Max) is on the way

I had an incredible last few days in Montreal hanging with friends, founders and LP’s. I have been on the road for three plus weeks and have run out of steam. I was planning to be on the road through October but need some rest. I head to Italy on my yearly riding trip at the end of the month and than back to NYC for Stocktoberfest and our Social Leverage founder/LP event back to back Oct 5-8.

Onward…

My good friend Brian Norgard built an app that I love and have been using that tracks the top 100 private companies. You can get it here.

The gist of the app…

Private markets continue to grow and many of the top 100 private companies would be in the S&P 500 if they were public today. Everyone wants to follow OpenAI and Anthropic, but keeping up means piecing together news, valuations, funding rounds, and a hundred opinions on X. Brian built NorgardX to bring the numbers, news, and conversations surrounding the top 100 private companies into one place. What I like is that you can follow both the numbers and the conversation around them. Prices tell you something. The people, products, and stories behind them tell you a lot more. There’s some early Stocktwits DNA here. Brian understands consumer products better than anyone, and I’m excited to see where he takes this.

It is a dead simple, must have app if you follow markets.

The public and private markets have never been more easy to follow. Understanding how they are connected has been a great edge for me as a seed and public market investor.
