Verizon challenging ITunes?
Please. It would be nice if they could get their system to work in Paradise Valley, one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the country. Competition like this should be music – to Apple.
“At a very direct level, we’re going to be competing with iPod,” said John Stratton, vice president and chief marketing officer for Verizon Wireless…. “Apple hasn’t had a credible challenge to their proposition,” he said. “We think we begin to change that dynamic a little bit.”
MEMO to Stratton – start surfing Monster.com ASAP
Music is not about corporations, it’s about consumers and retail. Apple does both flawlessly. Walk into a Verizon store lately and not screamed at somebody?
ITunes has won. They should partner with the winner. They should hang at the Apple show with me starting tomorrow and get clued in on what is going to happen while they try and catch up.
If Apple offered phone service, I would switch tomorrow – they should be more concerned about that. Also Skype and Ebay. Can’t wait to lose Verizon. Sooner the better. Putz’s!
