Yahoo...The Detroit of The Internet?

West coast mean is a lot different than east coast mean.

Yahoo is profitable.

Yahoo has cash flow up the wazoo.

Yahoo’s Asian investments are insanely good.

Yahoo told Ballmer to eat shit.

Yet I tweet ‘On my way to Yahoo….the Detroit of the Internet’ and it is as if I could run for President of Silicon Valley on the snark campaign. People loved it.

Yahoo has their problems with retention these days for sure, but they have some insanely good properties. As my friend @eghosao chimed in when I asked ‘which movie pops into your head when I say Yahoo’?

He’s right. I thought ‘The Departed’ and another friend declared ‘Weekend at Bernie’s.’

Yahoo may be the Detroit of the Internet but they are no Bear Stearns or Lehman and won’t need the government to help them print money again.
