Louis CK Changed Everything in Comedy...Now He Has Teamed With PunchUp So Every Comedian Can Grow Their Networks Together

If you read me/follow me you know my passion for comedy and laughs.

Last year Social Leverage led the seed round in PunchUp.

Danny, the founder, explained it to me as ‘The Shopify For Comedians’ which it is, but it is a platform and network and it is evolving and growing fast.

The company and platform will explode further in the coming weeks now that Louis CK is bringing his comedy, knowledge and network to the platform. Have a listen (minute 9 for the announcement and interviews):

Punchup is NOT another social network. The Comedians are in control because they own their email and data right from the start. Of course Danny and team will expand to all entertainment categories.

As a fan, I just browse the best stand-up comedians on the platform and build my own feed of fresh comedy from the best comedians performing today.

Next up will be direct ticketing, but for now you can easily buy tickets for your favorite comedians when they come to town if you share your zip code.

This is the first of many win/win/win (comedian, fans, platform) networks for the creator economy and the absolute best part of how Danny is building it is LEAN.
